BARANGAY TABAAN NORTE

Barangay Tabaan Norte is located at the mid western part of the Municipality. It is bounded on the North-northwest by Barangay Taloy Sur; on the northeast by Poblacion on the west by barangay Cares, Pugo, La Union; and on the South by Barangay Tabaan Sur. It has a computed land area of 3,792.29 hectares characterized by mountainous and rolling hills. It has two (2) main access road namely: Parasipis Barangay Road, and the Balangabang Provincial Road traversing the Barangay of Cares, Pugo, La Union. It has two (2) Elementary Schools and two (2) Barangay Health Stations. The barangay is inhabited predominantly by the Ibaloi Tribe.

Tabaan Norte has available resources such as human resources and materials such as gravel and sand which is found along the river banks of Enabyeng and Bacayao rivers. Likewise, the barangay has available water resources for irrigation domestic and other agricultural purposes and possible alternative energy. It has a total population of 1,133 with 242 households based on the 2010 census of population.

Farming is the major source of livelihood of the residents while some are employed and engaged in business or other economic activities. It is where the first Philippine Tobacco Production Technical Training Center in the municipality is located.
