Tuba Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council led the three-day training on Basic Incident Command System in Ynad’s Place Hotel and Resort, San Fernando, La Union from August 1 to 3, 2023
The Incident Command System (ICS) is a standard incident-management plan that provides the proper response during emergencies and special events, especially in the aspect of coordination of the disaster risk reduction council and concerned agencies.
Tuba LGU invited personnel from the Cordillera IMT and La Union IMT to discuss the basic fundamentals of ICS.
A total of 36 employees from the Mayor’s Office, Planning and Development Office, Health Services Office, Budget Office, Engineering Office, Civil Registry Office, Agriculture Office, Social Development Office, Environmental and Natural Resources Office, Treasury Office, as well as officers from the BJMP-Tuba, Bureau of Fire Protection-Tuba and Tuba Municipal Police Station, participated the training.
Municipal Mayor Clarita P. Sal-ongan expressed her gratitude to the DRRM Council for their continuous effort to respond immediately and effectively during disasters and calamities.
