BARANGAY NANGALISAN

Barangay Nangalisan is located at the Northern portion of the municipality. It is bounded on the North by the Municipality of Sablan, on the east by Barangay Tadiangan, on the west by the Municipality of Aringay, La Union and on the south by Barangay San Pascual and Taloy Norte. It has a total land area of 1,363.12 hectares with a culturally-diverse population of 2,428 and 546 households as of 2010 NSO census. It is one of the original barrios of the municipality as indicated in the creation of the municipality.

The main source of livelihood in the area is farming and the area is also one of the few palay-raising barangays with rice mills in the municipality. Other source of livelihood is employment and other economic activities.

Barangay Nangalisan hosts mini-hydro electric power plants, the swimming pool owned by the City of Baguio, two mountain resorts owned and operated by private individuals and two cell sites of one of the telecommunication facilities. There are three elementary schools, a national high school, a day care center, barangay health center and a multi-purpose hall in the area. Various churches of the different religious sect are also found in the barangay. The Barangay is blessed with water resources for domestic and agricultural water supply as well as for tourism purposes. Tourist sites found in the area are: tow (2) man-made tunnels, a hot sulphuric spring, Riverview Water Park, Palm grove Hot Springs and Mountain Resort, Bosaing Swimming Pool, Bacolod Swimming Pool and the city of Baguio-owned swimming pool.
