BARANGAY TADIANGAN

Barangay Tadiangan is located in the Northern portion of the municipality bounded in the North by the municipality of Sablan, on the South by Barangay Poblacion; on the east by barangay Irisan, Baguio City; and on the west by Barangay Nangalisan and Taloy Norte. This barangay has a total land area of 1,282.19 hectares of which 60% is agricultural land, 15% is forest land, 20% residential and commercial lands and 5% are institutional and open spaces which include rivers, creeks, roads and others. The sitios are interconnected by a municipal Road, four (4) Barangay Roads six (6) farm to market roads and (5) Private Roads.

The barangay has a total population of 5,685 with 1,250 households based on the 2010 census of population. Farming, woodcarving and unstable local employment are the main source of livelihood. The barangay have the main Barangay Hall and Library, two (2) Multipurpose buildings located at Yagyagan and Sinco, four (4) Day Care Buildings located at sitio Lasong, Tadiangan Proper, Sinco and Yagyagan, two (2) Police outpost located along Naguilian Road at Yagyagan and along Asin Road. Several multipurpose farm sheds, waiting sheds and churches of different religious sect, various subdivisions and other structures are likewise present in the area.

It has also famous wood carving community at Sinco, the famous Brown Madonna of Benguet Shrine at Sitio Pacac, Ifugao Curio and Souvenir Shops and BENCAB Museum at Km. 6 Asin Road, Asin Tunnel at Sipitan and Neverland Mountain Resort at Sitio Lasong. The barangay is also host to mini-hydro electric plants owned and operated by HEDCOR, Inc. and the City of Baguio.
