HAPPY 128TH PHILIPPINE INDEPENDENCE DAY

The Municipality of Tuba joined the nation in commemorating the 128th Philippine Independence Day through a program conducted on June 12, 2026, at the Municipal Ground, Poblacion, Tuba, Benguet.

The observance was led by the Tuba Municipal Police Station under the leadership of PMAJ Orville A. Wap, with the participation of the members of the Sangguniang Bayan, BFP-Tuba, BJMP-Tuba, and municipal employees.

In her message, Municipal Vice Mayor Maria L. Carantes emphasized that Independence Day is not only a remembrance of the bravery and sacrifices of our heroes, but also a reminder of our shared responsibility to preserve the freedom they fought for through unity, integrity, and service to the Filipino people.

The program featured the singing of the Pambansang Awit ng Pilipinas, the recitation of the Panata sa Bagong Pilipinas, and a wreath-laying ceremony in honor of the nation’s heroes.

The commemoration concluded with a symbolic dove release, representing peace, hope, unity, and the enduring spirit of freedom that continues to inspire the nation.

“Kalayaan is not only a legacy of the past, it is a responsibility we uphold today and a promise we pass on to future generations.”

As one nation, let us continue to honor the sacrifices of those who came before us by embodying patriotism, upholding our shared values, and working together toward a stronger and more progressive Philippines.
