In line with the observance of National Disaster Resilience Month, the Tuba Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO) conducted the School-Based DRRM Rescuelympics: First Aid Challenge on August 1, 2026, highlighting the importance of disaster preparedness and emergency response among learners.
The activity featured the participation of seven elementary schools and four secondary schools from the Municipality of Tuba. It served as a venue for students to demonstrate their knowledge and practical skills in first aid while fostering teamwork, discipline, and resilience.
Participants competed in various emergency response events, including bandaging, splinting, knot tying, adult CPR, infant CPR, spine board management, quiz bee, and carries, testing their ability to respond effectively in emergency situations.

Elementary Category
1st Place – Tuba Central School
2nd Place – Camp 3 Elementary School
3rd Place – San Pascual Elementary School
High School Category
1st Place – Tuba National High School
2nd Place – Twin Peaks National High School
3rd Place – Kiwas Integrated School
The Municipality of Tuba extends its congratulations to all participating schools, coaches, teachers, and organizers for the successful conduct of the activity. Through initiatives such as the School-Based DRRM Rescuelympics, the local government continues to strengthen disaster awareness and equip the younger generation with essential lifesaving skills, contributing to a safer Tuba.
