The Tuba Local Government Unit (LGU), through the Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office (MSWDO), celebrated Men’s Day on June 25, 2026, at the Poblacion Barangay Hall. The activity gathered male barangay officials and officers from the 13 barangays of the municipality for a day of learning and empowerment.
A highlight of the event was the lecture conducted by the Regional Anti-Cybercrime Unit Cordillera titled, “Men as Allies: Preventing Gender-Based Violence,” highlighting the critical role men play in creating a safer and more equitable world for all. The session emphasized the important role of men in promoting respect, equality, and safety within their families and communities. Participants were encouraged to become active partners in preventing violence and helping create a more inclusive and supportive environment for everyone.
This was followed by a discussion from Hon. Rebecca Apil, member of the Sangguniang Bayan, on the advocacy of MOVE (Men Opposing Violence Everywhere), which aims to engage men in the fight against all forms of violence and strengthen their role as champions of positive change.
The program also included the presentation of the MOVE Officers, who were formally introduced to the participants.
