The Tuba Local Government Unit, under the leadership of Municipal Mayor Clarita P. Sal-ongan, received numerous awards during the 11th Cities and Municipalities Index (CMCI) Awarding Ceremony on December 11, 2024, at Baguio City.
Tuba LGU received the following awards:
– 11th Nationwide Most Improved under the 1st & 2nd Class Municipalities
– 3rd Place Regionwide Overall Most Competitive Municipality in CAR under 1st & 2nd Class
– 2nd Place Regionwide in Innovation in CAR under 1st & 2nd Class
The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Baguio-Benguet, led by Provincial Director Ms. Felicitas O. Bandonilla and Industry Development Division Officer Mr. Jessie Cris Lahboy, presented the awards during the Municipal Flag Raising Ceremony on February 17, 2025.

Receiving the recognition on behalf of Tuba were Municipal Mayor Sal-ongan, Sangguniang Bayan members headed by Vice Mayor Maria L. Carantes, Municipal Planning and Development Coordinator Mr. Elmer T. Montino, and Licensing Officer Ms. Sharon C. Saingan.
This remarkable milestone was achieved through the unwavering dedication of CMCI Focal Person Ms. Eliza Y. Dominguez, alongside the wholehearted cooperation of the Business Permits and Licensing Office (BPLO) and other key agencies.
The CMCI framework evaluates localities based on five key pillars:
